Amendment #1 amends the definition of "substantial wall" in the new smokefree air law, which determines whether or not smoking can be allowed in a location based on the number of substantial walls. The amendment would allow that a wall with closed windows covering 25% or more of the wall’s surface area would not be considered a substantial wall.
