One step closer to smokefree air? Restore Local Rights bill going to House Floor.

Publication Date: 2011-02-24

Great news for smokefree supporters in Oklahoma!

A bill that would restore local rights (HB2135) was approved by the House Public Health Committee and will now be going to the full House of Representatives for a vote. If this bill goes into law, that means that local cities in Oklahoma would then be able to pass smokefree laws.

Your calls and emails are needed to show the growing support for the restoration of local rights to communities so that they can then decide for themselves on issues like smoke-free air.

Tell your Representative to please restore local rights by voting YES on HB2135.
