Help protect Washington's smokefree law!

Publication Date: 2011-02-09

We need your help to protect Washington’s smokefree law!

On Thursday, February 10, the House Business and Financial Services Committee will be hearing testimony on a bill to allow smoking in some businesses.

Can you help?

In 2005, voters voted overwhelmingly to pass Initiative 901, the clean indoor air law, and it had 63% support statewide. Thanks to that law, it is illegal to smoke in all indoor public places and workplaces in our state. The law is working and workers in Washington are finally protected from secondhand smoke.

We need your help to stop HB 1683 from passing. It would allow smoking back in some Washington workplaces. No workers deserve to be exposed to secondhand smoke.

Please take a moment to tell your elected officials to VOTE NO ON HB 1683 today! Click here to send a quick email to your state legislators.

Thank you!
