Restaurants not hurt by Ohio smoking ban

The Ohio Department of Health studied the state's four-year-old smoking ban and determined it has not hurt business at the state's restaurants and bars, WLWT reported.

The department examined taxable sales from bars and restaurants adjusted for unemployment and seasonal changes. Just as many people – 75 percent – go to restaurants and bars now as they used to before the 2006 ban was made law, the department said.
