AB1278 - (hospital campuses) - An Act relating to health facilities - Vetoed by Governor

This bill prohibits smoking in all areas of a general acute care hospital and throughout the hospital campus, including, but not limited to, buildings, parking areas, plazas, vehicles, underground passages, and sidewalks, except for public thoroughfares and sidewalks not owned by the hospital. There is an exemption to permit patient smoking on campus if their doctor permits as necessary.
