SB945 - (condominiums) - An Act relating to smoking - Did not meet crossover deadline

This bill allows condominiums and cooperative housing corporations to adopt rules that prohibit smoking in units and common areas. The bill was amended to provide that smoking restrictions would only apply if a majority of the tenant shareholders or owners approved the smoking prohibition. The bill was amended to be severely weakened, by stating that smoking restrictions would go into effect 180 days after the restrictions are approved and that the bill won't take affect for 37 years, on July 1, 2050.
