This bill prohibits smoking and the use of e-cigarettes in enclosed workplaces and public places, including restaurants, bars, gaming facilities, and hotels/motels, and within 15’ of windows/entrances of places required to be smokefree, restaurant and bar patios, and other specified venues. The bill does not cover existing private clubs, tobacco manufacturers/wholesalers/distributors, cigar bars, or retail tobacco shop. An amendment was added in the health committee to exempt bars, bingo, and gaming facilities.
