Legislative Summary

HB1163 - (bar smoking rooms) - A bill concerning alcohol and tobacco - Session Adjourned

This bill weakens the existing exemption for bars. The law currently allows smoking in bars that do not admit people under age 21. This bill would allow bars to create separately ventilated smoking rooms, and then admit people under age 21 to enter only the nonsmoking rooms or areas of the bar.
