To Pass Smokefree Ordinances

Legislative Summary

SB2011 - (weakens bar provision) - An act relative to criminal offenses - Assigned to subcommittee of Commerce and Labor Committee - Session Adjourned

This bill weakens the statewide restrictions on smoking in bars. Currently, smoking is allowed in age-restricted venues that do not permit access to people under 21 years old. This bill would change the language to say that the 21+ requirement does not include employees, vendors, service providers or performers.
