This bill prohibits the use of e-cigarettes in any indoor building owned by the state and under the direction of the commissioner of the Department of Administration. The bill also amends other laws to include e-cigarettes as tobacco products in the laws that prohibit tobacco use in public schools, require tobacco retailer licenses, self-service displays, and sales to minors.

The bill was amended on March 3 to remove the language that expands the definition of smoking in the Clean Indoor Air Act in order to prohibit the use of e-cigarettes in all places required to be smokefree under the law, and retained the language addressing sales.
