HB6283 - (preemptive; e-cigarette use) - An Act Regulating Electronic Cigarettes - Signed by Governor

The bill would amend the state law to require electronic cigarettes to be defined as a tobacco product and be subject to the same smoke-free laws as cigarettes. A substitute bill was adopted to define “electronic nicotine delivery systems” and “vapor products” instead of “electronic cigarettes.” This bill is preemptive and does not allow local laws relative to the use of an electronic nicotine delivery system or vapor product effective prior to, on or after October 1, 2015.
