Take Action for a Smokefree Kentucky!
The Kentucky statewide smoke-free workplace bill (House Bill 145) has passed out of the House Health and Welfare committee by a vote of 11-4! Now legislators need to hear from our members to make this bill into a law.
 Here's what you can do:
Tell your state representatives to pass House Bill 145 when it comes to the House floor this week!

More Information:
- The tobacco industry and its allies are fighting hard to undermine smokefree indoor air in Kentucky. They have money, but we have people. So it's our turn to speak up.
- The bill has passed this committee twice before, but there's never been a vote in the full House of Representatives. House Speaker Greg Stumbo, a longtime supporter of Smoke-Free Kentucky, is a co-sponsor of the bill and says he hopes to have a vote soon. If it passes, efforts will focus on convincing the Senate to pass it.
- Kentucky legislators have a chance to prevent needless death and disease caused by secondhand smoke. And they need to keep hearing from us - take action and email them today!
