The bill was amended again to prohibit e-cigarette use only in the hallways and common areas within any State governmental building, except in Illinois Veterans' Homes, and inside school buildings, on school grounds and inside state-owned facilities. The original bill would have amended the Smoke Free Illinois Act to prohibit the use of electronic cigarettes wherever smoking is not allowed.
