Publication Date: 2017-02-22
Take action today!
Help support Senate Bill 63 for everyone’s right to breathe smokefree air inside Alaska’s workplaces and public places.
Now is the time to contact the members of the Senate Health and Social Services committee to share your support for SB63.
It’s Easy! Contact these committee members by email or phone or in person:
Call the committee members directly! Sen. David Wilson: 907-465-3878 |
|
Send an email today to the committee members! HSS Committee Chair: Senator.David.Wilson@akleg.gov |
|
Meet your legislator in person at one of their district events or other public meetings. |
Let the committee members know why you personally support smokefree workplaces for every worker in Alaska. Tell them your story about secondhand smoke exposure and why it is important to protect all workers in Alaska from secondhand smoke: Smokefree air saves lives, saves money, and dramatically reduces the risk of chronic disease like heart disease and cancer. There is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke. The secondhand emissions of e-cigarettes and other electronic smoking devices also create a health hazard for others. Therefore, vaping devices should not be used inside smokefree spaces.
Thank you for your support of smokefree air.
