SB77-(preemption repeal & private clubs)-Amendments to the Clean Indoor Air Act-Defeated

This bill removes the exemption for private clubs and taverns from the Indoor Clean Air Act and repeals the section of the law that grandfathered adjoining private clubs and public places that shared ventilation systems and were built prior to 1995. The amendment specified that private clubs are smokefree. The exemption for taverns is still deleted but taverns are not specifically mentioned as smokefree.
