HB672-(preemption repeal)-An Act amending the Illinois Clean Indoor Air Act-Signed by Governor

This bill amends the Illinois Clean Indoor Air Act to repeal preemption by allowing units of local government to regulate smoking in public places as long as the regulations are no less restrictive than the state law. Home-rule communities with laws enacted before October 1, 1989 do not have to have regulations that are no less restrictive than the state law. Amended to add health findings.
