Area state legislators have mixed opinions on a bill introduced this session that would permit smoking in certain bars and restaurants, provided those establishments follow strict guidelines. State Rep. Toni Boucher, R-143, who serves Wilton and Norwalk doubts Greene's bill will get to the floor. Boucher, who lost three relatives to the effects of smoking, suggested leaving the ban alone. "By in large, businesses in my area and my district seem to be very supportive of it," she said.
