A House committee Tuesday endorsed legislation that would ban smoking at restaurants across Arkansas. A 10-4 vote in the House Rules Committee sent the bill to the full House for consideration.

"I've had this bill before. This is the first time that we've made the step out of committee, and it's a great sign that things have changed and attitudes have changed. It makes me very hopeful."
