The law that nearly 75 percent of Floridians voted for is now being challenged by an attempt to weaken the law.

Key West's Sloppy Joe's is petitioning the Legislature to increase the minimum allowance of food sales from 10 to 20 percent for stand-alone bars located in buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Last year, this so-called "bar" sold $2 million in food sales, exceeding the minimum allowed by law by 7 percent. . .

The people have spoken: We don't want smoking in restaurants. It is now time to make our voice louder than ever before. Contact your legislators today and tell them not to weaken the Clean Indoor Air law. To bend the law for this famous bar opens a door for all restaurants to follow suit.
