This bill prohibits smoking in all public and private enclosed places of employment and enclosed areas of public places, including restaurants, bars, private clubs and bingo facilities, and within 10 feet of entrances to places required to be smokefree. Any County Commission can vote to opt out the county from the provisions of this law for a renewable two year period.

EXEMPTIONS: Smoking is allowed in private residences except when used as child/adult/health care facilities; hotel/motel rooms; outdoor places of employment; private offices not open to the public and not intended for occupancy by employees; outside patios; private or business vehicles (not public transportation); and retail tobacco stores. Any County Commission can vote to opt out the county from the provisions of this law for a renewable two year period.
