Bar owners to seek smoke break

Small bar owners will converge on the Capitol today to ask lawmakers to give them a break from a workplace smoking ban they say has crippled their livelihoods.

But health and clear-air advocates will ask lawmakers not to undo a workplace smoking ban passed last year that outlaws lighting up in bars, restaurants or any other workplace...

Both measures are expected to draw dozens of witnesses.

Sen. Lois Tochtrop, D-Westminster, said she knows of bar owners who are coming from as far as Las Animas County to testify before a Senate committee on behalf of her smoking bill
