A state representative from New Orleans wants to scale back the new anti-smoking laws in Louisiana.

Representative Alex Heaton has filed a bill to let restaurants have smoking sections as long as they are enclosed and have their own ventilation.

The five-month-old law currently bans all smoking in restaurants. Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco Free Living opposes the proposed changes.

The group says that would move the state backwards and exposed workers to deadly second hand smoke.
