Alaska adopts standard for fire-safe cigarettes

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Gov. Sarah Palin signed safer-cigarette legislation into law Wednesday, joining 13 other states to adopt laws this year requiring retailers to sell so-called fire-safe smokes.
