This bill would prohibit smoking in enclosed public places and workplaces, including restaurants. The bill was amended to exempt bars and cigar bars. Smoking would also be prohibited within 10 feet of entrances/exits of buildings required to be smokefree.

Exemptions: Smoking is allowed in private residences except when used as a child/adult/health facilities; 20% of contiguous hotel/motel rooms; private or semiprivate room in a nursing home or long-term care facilities; private clubs when not open to the public; outdoor areas of places of employment; tobacco retail stores; cigar bars; bars; manufacturers/importers/wholesalers of tobacco products; and all outdoor areas which are not specifically prohibited.
