This bill prohibits smoking in all enclosed workplaces and public places, including restaurants and bars. In addition, this bill contains an explicit anti-preemption clause to allow local governments the right to adopt smokefree laws at least as strong as this state bill. HOWEVER, this bill is dependent on the passage of HB6450, which provides for numerous exemptions from this bill.
