HB5608 - (casinos) - An Act Concerning the Issuance of Liquor Permits to Casinos that Permit Smoking in the Casino - Session Adjourned
This proposed bill would require that prior to the issuance of a casino permit to a tribally owned casino, the state should require the permittee to enter into an agreement with the state governing the reduction, removal and monitoring of secondhand smoke in the casino. An agreement would contain standards governing: (1) Designated nonsmoking areas; (2) signage concerning nonsmoking and smoking permitted areas; and (3) state-of-the-art ventilation and design for designated smoking areas.
