This bill prohibits smoking in enclosed workplaces and public places, including restaurants and bars. The bill allows smoking in separately enclosed cigar bars and gaming floors of casinos. A substitute bill was adopted by the Senate. The provision to allow smoking to remain in businesses that have existing collective bargaining agreements until such agreements expire was removed. The amended bill will not repeal preemption.
