Bill passes House and moves to Senate

Members of the House of Representatives passed a bill that bans smoking across the state.

District 26 Representative Randy Truitt, who supports the bill, said if passed into law, the ban would be similar to the Lafayette smoking ban.

He said the ban would prohibit smoking in public places with a few exceptions like bars.
