HB2221 - (workplaces, restaurants and bars) - An Act relating to smoking - Signed by Governor

The Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee replaced the language in HB2221 with language from SB25. This bill prohibits smoking in all enclosed public places and workplaces, including restaurants and bars, including within 10’ or 15’ of doorways. The bill was amended to exempt gaming facilities and Class A and B clubs, as well as to include tobacco retail license requirements.

EXEMPTIONS: Smoking is allowed in outdoor workplaces; private homes except when used for day care; 20% hotel/motel rooms; sections of adult care homes and long term care facilities; tobacco shops; gaming floors of gaming facilities; and Class A and Class B clubs.
