This ordinance amends the current smokefree law to create an exemption for a hotel to allow cigar smoking during a special event on one day once a year for a $250 fee. The ordinance would take effect following approval by the Mayor, a 30-day period of Congressional review, and publication in the District of Columbia Register and would expire 225 days after having taken effect.
