This bill creates a definition of smoking for the smokefree law, which would be ""Smoking" or "smoke," inhaling, exhaling, or tasting the fumes released through burning or heating tobacco." The bill was amended on 2/28 in the House Local Government Committee to exempt hookah bars in operation as of January 1. The bill was again amended in the House on 3/5 to specifically include hookah bars in the provisions of the smokefree law, but it failed to pass the House.
