This bill amends the current smokefree air law to remove workplace exemptions, defines smoking to include an electronic smoking device, and prohibits their use wherever smoking is prohibited. The exemptions that would be removed are for designated smoking rooms in hotels, retail tobacco businesses, airport smoking concessions, businesses with 3 or fewer employees, and designated smoking areas in assisted living facilities. The bill was amended to allow smoking in cigar-tobacco bars and retail tobacco businesses.
