EXEMPTIONS: Bars; private clubs; private functions; motel and hotel rooms; smoking lounges in airports; any place of public access operated by a social, fraternal, or religious organization when that place is being used solely by the organization members or their guests or familys; any area within a place of public access which is not commonly open to the public and which is part of an owner-operated business having no employee other than the owner-operator; designated adult smoking areas in private schools or educational facilities during nonschool hours; workplace smoking areas that are either enclosed or unenclosed if the layout of the workplace prevents smoke in the work areas of all nonsmoking employees and at least ¾ of the employees agree.
