B16-0453-(ventilation & incentives) "Second Smoke-Free Restaurant, Tavern, And Nightclub Incentive Amendment Act Of 2005".

This bill requires that restaurants, bars, clubs and hotels register with the city as either a smokefree or smoking establishment. Smoking is allowed in any of these establishments that install ventilation systems. Businesses that allow smoking only one separate floors or separate rooms will get a tax reduction for one year. Restaurants larger than 750 square feet must be smokefree in 75% of the area, and the bars larger than 750 square feet must be smokefree in 50% of the area.
