SB648-(workplaces, restaurants and bars)-Virginia Clean Indoor Air Act-Left in House General Laws Committee

This bill creates a new Virginia Clean Indoor Air Act that prohibits smoking in workplaces, restaurants and bars. This bill also repeals preemption for all workplaces, restaurants, and bars.

Smoking is allowed in private homes/automobiles not used as a child care/adult day care/health care facility; private functions in public places; 25% of hotel/motel rooms; specialty tobacco stores, and tobacco manufacturers.
