Thanks to city councils across the country, millions of workers, residents and visitors are now protected in both public places and workplaces from a known poisonous substance - secondhand smoke.

As communities continue to join this growing list, their civic leaders are to be commended. We hope that Denver will join the trend and be the next Colorado city to enact an ordinance that provides completely smoke-free environments. . .
