After a decade of success, coalition introduces new bills to expand tobacco ban

On Tuesday, the Tobacco-Free Coalition of Oregon announced a second plan for the next decade. It includes several goals they hope will be addressed this legislative session.

* Eliminate second-hand smoke exposure: Nearly all workplaces prohibit smoking except bars, bingo halls and bowling alleys.

The coalition is urging lawmakers to support a bill that would ban smoking in those places and allow cities and counties to make laws further prohibiting smoking in public places.
