Michels anticipates public vote on smoking

VERMILLION, S.D. - State Rep. Matt Michels, R-Yankton, said he believes a proposal to ban smoking in public places will be put to South Dakota voters next year.

The Legislature this year rejected a bill to eliminate smoking in all businesses except those that rent sleeping rooms.
