The Nebraska legislature may be headed for a battle over a smoking ban...that has advanced out of committee. The bill is expected to reach the floor this legislative session.  Less than 24 hours ago Senator Ray Aguilar of Grand Island designated LB480, the smoke-free Nebraska bill, to be his priority bill.  If passed it will make almost all indoor workplaces 100 percent smoke free including restaurants...

Along with the smoking ban in restaurants the smoke-free Nebraska bill LB480 would allow local communities to pass stronger smoking bans than the state law.
