This study bill would prohibit smoking in enclosed public places and places of employment, including restaurants and bars, and within fifty feet of any public place where smoking is prohibited. The bill also restores local control.

EXEMPTIONS: Smoking is allowed in private residences, unless used as a child care facility, child care home, or a health care provider location; 20% contiguous hotel/motel rooms; retail tobacco stores; private and semi-private rooms in long term care facilities; private clubs with no employees when not open for public functions; outdoor places of employment, limousines for hire; and enclosed indoor workplace if the smoking is an integral part of a smoking cessation program or a medical or scientific research program.
