HB2422 - (red light/green light) - A Bill relating to the Virginia Indoor Clean Air Act - Vetoed by Governor

This bill amends the current Indoor Clean Air Act to remove the requirement that any restaurant having a seating capacity of fifty or more persons shall have a designated no-smoking area, to instead declare that any restaurant may allow smoking if the establishment posts signs stating Smoking Permitted. The bill was amended by the Governor to remove the “red light/green light� smoking provision to make the bill 100% smokefree for restaurants & bars, but the Legislature rejected his amendments.
