Two Iowa lawmakers plan to introduce a bill on Monday that would ban smoking from public places -- including restaurants and bars.

This is the second year in a row Senator Matt McCoy has introduced this bill in the senate. Representative Janet Petersen will introduce it for the first time in the house. McCoy said similar bans in other states have reduced the number of smokers by 38 to 40 percent in those states.

Tom Baldwin, who owns Drink, said anti-smoking legislation is not what the people of Iowa want. He said the ban could hurt his business.
