The smoking ban debate moves from Baltimore to Annapolis, Md., today, with a state House committee set to take up a statewide smoking ban.

The bill would outlaw smoking in all bars and restaurants.

The bill has been considered in the past without success, but this year could be different. That's because Baltimore City recently voted to ban smoking starting next year, meaning soon, more than half the state's population will live in areas where smoking is not allowed in indoors public places.
