HB2855 - (preemption) - A bill relating to permitting the holder of a license to sell nonintoxicating beer or intoxicating liquors to determine the use or nonuse of tobacco products on the licensees' premises - Session Adjourned

This bill states that holders of a license to posses nonintoxicating beer for sale has the sole authority to determine whether or not smoking is allowed on the premises, and also private club holders of a license to posses intoxicating beer for sale has the sole authority to determine whether or not smoking is allowed on the premises. Thus, local governments would not be able to adopt smokefree laws that cover these types of establishment.
