The South Dakota House is scheduled to vote Monday whether to ban smoking in bars, video lottery businesses and Deadwood gaming halls.
Representatives must decide whether to accept an amendment to HB1240, the bill that bans smoking in nearly all public places. If they agree to the change, the bill goes to Gov. Mike Rounds.
The governor refused to indicate last week whether he'd sign the measure. He said he doesn't like smoking but he won't make a decision on the specific bill until he reads it.
